Deaths have been announced using specific notices or “Trauerparten” since the 18th century, with the German name stemming from the French "faire part" (inform) or "donner part" (give news). 

Depending on the amount and scope of the order, the minimum delivery time for death notices is 24 hours (except Friday!) to 3 days (weekdays). The production of in-memoriam cards requires three to four working days. 

Our in-memoriam collection comprises exclusive laid paper with black edging with black-edged envelopes with a black lining, as well as a silver grey, hand-edged version. So-called “Lueger” notices with very wide black frames are also part of our range, as well as simple, white paper with 2 mm or 4 mm (0.07 or 0.15 in) striking, black border, in addition to individually designed paper. 

In-memoriam cards are produced in memory of the deceased and are mostly given out to guests at the funeral. These two-leaf cards are printed with or without a black border or cross and carry a photograph of the deceased with their dates of birth and death. Favourite sayings, Bible quotes, and poems may be added.
